BMW ICOM A2 NEXT WiFi Connection method

     1. Set the router to

      User name: ISAP

     Password: 12345678

  1. Connect your computer to the router
  2. The device is powered on and can be used after long WLAN light

 

If you want to set your device’s WIFI account password, please follow the following steps:

  1. Connect the BMW ICOM to the car and connect the computer through the network cable
  2. running “IToolRadar”

  1. Record the current IP address

  1. Open Internet explorer and enter the IP address just recorded (ip+ :58000)

3

  1. Go to WLAN Settings

Enter account in SSID and password in pre-shared Key

BMW ICOM

  1. Click Save Changes
  2. Then restart the device and it can be used normally.

How to solve the error that BMW ICOM window shows current Firmware 31503 and the supposed firmware 31500?

Problem:

There is a window showing current Firmware 31503 and the supposed firmware 31500.

 

Error message in English:

There are ICOMs in the workshop network that have invalid firmware.

The listed ICOMs are currently not available for programming.

Please switch to ISTA and carry out an ICOM firmware update.

Solutions for issue: BMW ICOM fimware is too new to work with ista-p.

I have 66.2 installed and the newest icom next firmware.

 

First solution: override the firmware check

Try this:

How BMW ICOM do Online diagnostics for E and F series ?

To each BMW enthusiast, we offer Online diagnostics for N43/N53 engines.

What does it mean?
We will evaluate live data of INPA, sent to us by you, if necessary – will give recommendations for deeper research, if it would be required.

What do you have to do?
Prepare the screenshots of the required menus from INPA and send them to us together with a description of the problem.

List of required data for E series (E81/E82/E88/E90/E91/E92/E93/E60/E61/E63/E64).

INPA MSD80 Loader 2.023 is necessary

List of required data for F series (F10/F11).

BMW ICOM INPA for F series MSD87 Loader 3.700 is necessary

We will send the report as soon as possible with comments regarding incorrect or suspicious values, the report will be supplemented with images with marked incorrect values. We will give also suggestions and recommendations for required tests if the defect could not be recognized from the data sent.

We will help your car run smoothly again.

How to Repair BMW F02 P2580 Transmission Control Module Trouble by BMW ICOM Diagnostic Tool?

It is a common trouble for BMW F02 transmission control module get this trouble.The symptom show that the display show transmission trouble,and ask you to repair;it lock shift 4 level,and in some situation it will lock your shift on P;diagnostic software show you with P2580:Turbocharger Speed Sensor Circuit Low.

Commonly,this trouble caused by transmission control module PCB sealing off.There are 7 soldering points on the PCB,some points sealing off will generate this problem.

Disassemble the turbine sensor and gear sensor. When soldering, you must pay attention to the need to completely remove the circuit paper. You will see that the copper brazing joints below must be cleaned.

After soldering completely,install all parts back on vehicle and the trouble will disappear.

What is BMW Rheingold ISTA ?

ISTA is a workshop system that contains BMW AG Data and Information. ISTA stands for Integrated Service Technical Application. Way back when, during the initial development of this tool, BMW used DIS (Diagnostics Information System), and as the programs evolved and due to the nature of the file naming conventions utilized by BMW, the workshop system became known as Rheingold in the enthusiast world. Rheingold in actuality is the folder that contains the main application and data. Rheingold became ISTA-D (D stands for Diagnostics) and BMW’s programming application (not discussed in this document) used the same nomenclature, ISTA except with a P (for programming) or ISTA-P.

Procedures:

Remove the CAS

Disconnect protective edging (1) in the region of the left pad (2), the dashboard in the direction indicated by the arrow.

Unclip the left cover (2) instrument panel at the points(3) and remove it.

Release the left ventilation gritle(1) of the clips at (2).

Unlock the clips(3)

Remove the left ventilation grille (1) in the direction indicated by the arrow.

Release screws(1) and(2).

Remove the expanding rivet(3).

Pull the trim(4) ago.

Disconnect the appropriate connectors and remove the trim(4).
